Look within for solutions. Your higher self has the answers

Many of us look for solutions outside of ourselves. We feel we’re somehow owed – or someone should ‘sort it’. We give out our hope to others, rather than trusting our own instinct to guide us to solutions that are good for us.
We’ve lost our own ability to ‘look within’ and listen to that deep, small voice that speaks quietly.
When we’re reliant on others to sort our stuff, we give them the power to put things right. When we take on our own solutions, we take back control.
Perhaps we’ve become scared, or less confident in hearing these insights. We may feel they’re inconsequential, inconsistent or irrelevant. Perhaps we’ve long since lost our ability to ‘hear’, listening instead to the noise of others to guide us.
It’s hard of course to change our patterns. We need to be quiet and still to listen. And listening is quite different from hearing. We can most likely hear fine. But interpreting what we hear takes different skills and some level of belief in ourselves, and our higher self.
But it’s worth the effort. Building our instincts is this way can only be good for us. Learning to trust our higher selves to guide us well, is the right path.
- Have you listened to the inspiration your higher self shares with you?
- So you take time to sit quietly and listen in the silence?
- How do you interpret any inspiration you get?
- What weight do you put on acting on what you ‘hear’?
The more we allow ourselves to be quiet, the more opportunity we have to be open to such messages.
You may hear it as single words, or phrases. Perhaps you hear a conversation. Maybe you feel a gut instinct on how to act, or what to do?
You might like to ask specific questions in your quiet time, or just to sit quietly and wait and see.
There’s no one way to tune into your personal higher self. But allow yourself the time and space to get to know how it works for you.
Over the years of working at HMP, I’ve learnt to listen to my gut instinct to keep me safe, or warn me of certain things. When I’m in my own quiet space, I find I don’t have to be quiet to feel inspired. Inspiration can flow when I’m already ‘in the flow’.
But one thing for sure – it takes practice to listen and to interpret how your higher self communicates with you.
Whether it’s words, conversations or feelings, develop your special bond. Learn to be reliant on your own resources. Look within for guidance and direction. It will never guide in the wrong direction because it is always working in your own best interest.
So, next time you have a puzzle or a panic, just stop and be still.
Listen. Really listen and notice what comes up. Give yourself the space you need to be in tune with your higher self, and see what insights it guides you to.
